O Pantharei nasceu em 2012, no encontro dos multiartistas Wilton Azevedo e Sérgio Basbaum, buscando explorar as possibilidades formais e poéticas da improvisação sonora e visual com aparatos eletrônicos high e low tech. Em 2014, juntou-se ao duo o videoartista Rodrigo Gontijo, consolidando um trio focado na investigação performática audiovisual.


Pantharei was created in 2012, when multiartists Wilton Azevedo and Sergio Basbaum started playing together, exploring formal and poetic possibilites of sonic and visual experimentation with high and low tech devices. In 2014, videoartist Rodrigo Gontijo joined, thus consolidating a trio focused in audiovisual performance investigation.
